GoMaps
GoMaps is the primary Interactive Mapping Application in the City of Durham and Durham County Online
Public Access Systems. GoMaps features a large on screen viewing area, multiple datasets, many GIS functions,
PDF format printed output, spreadsheet output and mailing labels. With GoMaps you can query the GIS datasets by choosing
both database fields and query operators to build a custom query statement. You can measure distance and area. You can select
and buffer polygons. Map imagery layers include black and white aerial photography from 1988 / 1994 and color orthophotos from
March 2005. The updated FEMA data is on GoMaps, Stormwater data is on GoMaps.
Some internet security settings can interfere with certain operations in GoMaps. The user is advised that they may have to
modify or disable security settings or add this site to the Safe Domain List. Due to the use of Vector Markup Language (VML) in GoMaps
users are encourhged to run a Vector Graphics or Acitve X Control if prompted to do so. Firefox users may wish to download the IE Tab Add-on
to allow them to use the Measure Distance and Measure Area functions. You should also have cookies enabled.

Durham School Attendance Zones
(DAZ) Durham Public School Attendance Zone Maps developed by the City of Durham in cooperation with Durham Public Schools.
Choose an Elementary, Middle or High School to view a detailed "pan-and-zoom" enabled map of the assignment zone or select
a link to Magnet Schools or Year-Round Schools.

(DSA) An easy to use traditional atlas that is viewable online or downloadable in pdf format.
104 detailed map pages and a complete list of Durham County streets indexed to the maps.

Durham Parks Locator
(DPL) An interactive application developed exclusively by Durham GIS, allows users to select and
view park locations and amenities in Durham and Durham County.

Flood Insurance Rate Maps
(FIRM) Flood insurance rate maps are images of the FEMA Floodplain Zone Maps for Durham County. Users can select maps based on an street index or by selecting a map panel from the index map.

Durham Zoning Atlas
(DZA) A complete, full color, annotated zoning atlas for Durham and Durham County.
The atlas may be viewed online or downloaded for later use offline. Printer friendly!

Durham Precinct Atlas
(DPA) Durham voters and candidates can now view their precinct boundaries and polling sites. Atlas has 54 precinct maps and a complete list of Durham streets indexed to them.

Durham Crime Mapper
(DCM) An interactive application developed by Durham GIS, allows users to query Part 1 Crimes for the current and previous year. Crimes can be viewed for the entire County, Districts, Beats or by specified boundaries such as half a mile around a selected address.

Durham Surplus Property
(DSP) An interactive application developed by Durham GIS, allows users to find information about city owned properties available for sale. Users can also get information about vacant houses on city property. To indicate interest in a property users can fill out a form to be emailed to the city’s real estate division.
